Javier Vassallo, Creative Director

Over the past 18 years, designer Javier Vassallo has worked with some of the most recognizable names in fashion including Monique Lhuillier, J. Mendel, Oleg Cassini and, most notably, Vera Wang.

Javier spent 9 years at Vera Wang honing his skills. There he developed his passion for draping, tailoring and fit, first designing for the Bridal and Ready-To-Wear collections, and then launching and serving as Design Director of Vera Wang Lavender Label, a contemporary label by the famed designer.

Javier studied in the United States, where he earned degrees in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in New York. Born in Puerto Rico, he has lived, among other places, in Paris, Washington, DC and Chicago, currently residing in Los Angeles. This global and varied experience informs and inspires his distinctive take on how modern women dress.

The skills he has developed have brought Javier to this moment. Mixing American sportswear with both a Latin and European flavor, at once modern and classic, edgy and feminine, there is an apparent duality that mixes all these worlds to bring a unique point of view to his designs.
